What is SQCN?
Sentara Quality Care Network (SQCN) is a local collaborative of nearly 4,000 providers from Sentara Health, Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD) hospital and outpatient facilities, Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) and independent practices. One-third of those are adult primary care and pediatric providers, and the remainder are specialist providers. These providers voluntarily participate in SQCN to offer high-quality, efficient care.
Insurance companies and employers in our communities look to SQCN to better manage the care of their beneficiaries—or their employees and family members—by offering a network of providers who:
- Are dedicated to the principles of clinical integration (physician led, data sharing, quality, and efficiency).
- Work with professional colleagues and support staff to coordinate care through collaboration.
- Use network data and analytics to identify the best opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and share best practices across the network.
